B-17 Flying Fortress finished !

After a long struggle, my big 1:48 scale B-17 is finally completed. Let me start with the negative part. The kit is old and it shows especially on clear plastic that are thick and fits poor. The rest of the parts fit pretty good though. Not much of the interior is visible through the clear plastic so most of the detail work on the interior is wasted. Now for the positive parts. The model is impressive and surface detailing is very nicely done. The raised panel lines look very good with pre shading. The kit comes with a set of really nice figures (although some of them looks a little to tall for the scale) and a loaded bomb cart. Overall, it is a good kit that is let down by the poor clear parts
